Is it worth educating about food to youngsters?

School season has come and gone and this teacher has turned the educational attitude up. Is it really worth it to just try to tell 16 years of broccolli and chives are not the same, just because they both are green? Granted, it can be a burden to have to repeat the most basic things over and over a school year through. It is not for today's youth, to listen for hours. They´re surfing porn rather than recipes online and they're in the middle of a rebellion against all adults. In addition to the students at our school neither God's best or worst children, they often have more important things than the history of Italian cuisine to worry about. And here lies the gift of a teacher, to meet the pupils a day without having to expect anything and be continually amazed at their immediacy and sudden engagement. A commitment through out the year that becomes both routine and independent initiatives.
On a broader level, it should give the reason valve serious consideration of our values. The example of students who do not know the diference on cauliflower and broccolli are not fictional. It belongs to the exception that we get students who have had their time in a vegetable garden or can split a chicken in 10 parts without being disgusted. It is not inside the children we must find the problem, they are simply the result of the last 50-60 years of impoverishment of our food and culture.
A culture, no longer received in our homes, but then at least in Food Temples around?

These Food Temples that appear in magazines and food programs, must surely carry the torch high. Here we can surely look for when our own knowledge is gone.

No, actually, it´s the other way around; they feed on the deroute. We´re at a level  where we even in restaurants are presented to the Spanish fritatta and a tapas kitchen witch is closed. Maybe not two obvious examples, explanation, comes here. Frittata is an Italian egg dish (and not Spanish, though Wikipedia claims it), but not everyone knows this. But do restaurants not keep a straight and high level of iformation, are the cosumers really screwed.
The example of tapas kitchen has closed, is even more serious.

Tapas are Spanish bar snacks, finger food. These are very simple dishes such as tortilla, chili sausage, sardines in vinegar; this sort. The commen factor with these dishes is precisely that they are ready to be served from disk. The guest chooses his favorites, the bartender serves. A tapas cuisine can not close because there is talk about food is already finished. This is what Danish retaurants meets with their guests,; misinformation. In addition to long waits, uneducated servant staff and uncoordinated delivery of food, those kind of things. Restaurants that should be examples for their guests, obscene instead of welcoming guests and makeing them even have to pay for it. This summer had agricultural organizations even the audacity to propose that we as a state, supported this indebted industrial economy. And yet, at the sam time, with the Danish government has been dragged to the EU law, on charges of providing illegal fallow support 750.000000. Similar audacity you have known since inventing some prejudices about Italians and Greeks, to match. No, the Danish agriculture has wagered and lost. Masseprodution is not viable in a country the size of Denmark and should soon be settled in favor of organic farming. With agriculture's greed and lack of willingness to involve the surrounding community, it has lost. 3%, this is the first farmers work souls back total workforce. In the worst "hit the fringe" municipalities, agriculture is the dominant activity. the creation of our food is distanced in a way never seen before.

The end is near and therefore calms the answer also ligefor; we must break this death spiral for the Danish food culture by inventing it. We import food as never before, we finished eating cooked food like never before, we lie we buy organic and industrial chicken like never before. We must keep up with. Our children and youth need adults to show good examples to think about this. As responsible for ourselves and our children, we should consider how many cases of allergies, diabetes and obesity we will find from our creator.

MOUTH-FULL is Grognard, not Avant Garde

We are going meta today. We must, after a very inspiring mfoodbloggersymposiumin Copenhagen last weekend, have stated what size this blog is.

Inspiration for much more
There were tons of inspiration and during the day it dawned on me how serious I mean this. This blog will be addressed to real people, it will propose, amend and circumvent the conventions of Danish food culture, food debate and the daily struggle the individual consumer leads, to find head and tail of something as simple as a meal.

Most importantly, as told inlays from Trine-Maria and Kasper Bergholt, that blogging can make a difference to the blogger. Not in the sense that perhaps the direct dream;
- "Man, where would it be cool to be able to make a living blogging."
But more to all this thinking, all this writing and real craving, actually makes a difference in the physical life. This blog can be created contacts with a great many people and thus may create fertile ground for further work on the subject. Perhaps an obvious idea for some, but it was not exactly for me at the symposium.
Something that was well backed up by observations from the natural world by reports from Lilleø Wine (Anders Selmer), Friis-Holm (chocolate maker Mikkel Friis-Holm) and fødevareinspiratoren couple exelence; Claus Meyer.

Shape
It was also exciting to follow the debate on how blogs in general, affects the surrounding community. After see-me-hear-me-blogs was declared dead a few years ago, niche blogs are now on the rise, particularly fashion blogs were mentioned.

Is MOUTH-FULL then Avant Garde; into the forefront of generating news and trends with the latest beats within gastronomy, commentary and participating on the latest places? No, it is not.
This blog is "une Grognard", named after the most faithful of the faithful in Napoleon's army. Soldiers, with so much dedication and experience that they alone dared speak directly against the emperor in his precense. The Old Guard, who waited while their Emperor was in exile and who left their civilian duties, when he again came up, hand under his coat. Warriors, whose motto was "The Guard dies, but never surrenders."

This blog love for food and its importance for our social wellfare, our diet and our future, so much that we dare to speak when the actual producers, intermediaries and customers have been misled.

This blog does follow, however, a new trend in our all media and view the world. It is independent.

Free from constraints of any kind, free to mention, praise and chastise; it deems best when it deems best. When MOUTH-FULL is saying that this is a good piece of meat, a good article, an interesting development, well, then it comes from the heart, for it is written in dedication to the item's essence, without regard to either the sender or recipient. Respect for the topic food everywhere.

In short, MOUTH-FULL is a politically oriented blog about food. Lots of opinions about the surrounding world over food.

Enjoy
